Thadd was raised in the Church and learned a more complete reliance on God’s grace through a summer missions trip. Thadd realized that God’s calling on his life meant more than being a “hearer” but also a “doer.” Discerning that call brought Thadd through four years in the Marine Corps, into a wonderful marriage with Laura, through a degree in English and Education, and two years as a teacher.
Laura grew up in a Christian home where she learned at an early age the importance of serving others using her God-given talents. She has been involved in many ministries including teaching Sunday school, singing in choir, maintaining the church website, and organizing anything in disarray. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Covenant College and worked as a web developer for 8 years.
In 2005, we experienced an increased desire to fulfill God's command to make disciples of all nations by using our God-given talents and passions. Since joining in marriage in December of 2002, we have enjoyed many blessings in college, jobs, and relationships with friends. Thadd began a career in education that God directed to the mission field with a deepening passion for using English as a tool to converse, build relationships, and ultimately bring the Gospel to the ears and hearts of Europeans. Laura's passion for designing and implementing usable websites has been greatly enhanced as she learned about the many opportunities the European church has for using web-based tools for ministry, teaching, and evangelism.
