  • Our condo is rented! Please pray for the young couple that now calls it home - we want it to be a blessing to them!
  • The few churches we've visited have been a source of encouragement and granted us hope that we'll find a great church home here.

What's New?

The Europa Meister (EU Cup) Tournament is certainly a new experience for us! Games start at 8:45p most nights so around 11:30, there is a whole lot of yelling and horn honking (of course, this depends on who just won). We haven't heard a horn in Germany yet except for this purpose - they are wholly reserved for soccer fans. We decided to see what the fuss was all about so we went downtown to watch Germany vs. Portugal. Portugal was expected to win so we thought this might be our last chance. We sat in an outdoor cafe that was surrounded by public viewing areas. Absolutely every restaurant has a TV set out specially for the tournament. Normally reserved Germans are running around screaming flying the German flag behind them. The excitement over the Superbowl doesn't begin to touch the excitement of soccer fans when Germany makes a goal. It was a lot of fun to experience such a cultural event!

Current Needs

We currently need partners who are willing to make a monthly pledge to our ministry. GEM requires us to have 100% of our monthly support pledged to keep us on the field long term. We are currently hovering around 96%. Please consider making a monthly, quarterly, or yearly pledge commitment to join us in Europe. We need 4 more people to pledge $75/mo to make this goal.
